Everyone I work with has one thing in common:

They absolutely adore their business

(No seriously — if you’re only “meh” about it, I’m probably not your girl. That’s actually a rule around here.)

When we get on calls together, I want to feel how excited you are about your business. Go on and tell me your story with that gleam in your eye and share the big ideas that keep you up at night.

And when you share why you love your business, it's easy for me to fall in love with it too. Basically, the more obsessed you are, the better the final product — and the more likely we both cry happy tears when we reach to finish line.

Hey, I’m Emma

A smiling woman with glasses, long wavy hair, wearing a white top and jeans, sitting on a wooden floor in front of a window with sheer curtains.

Book-lover. Brand designer. Sitcom-repeater. Caffeine-avoider. Marketing strategist.

I fell in love with small business five years ago, when I started working in a local boutique here in Edmonton.

I got a first-hand taste of the hard work they require, the love they survive on, and the community they create.

Ever since, I’ve been hooked.

Core Personality Traits (that I’ve turned into business superpowers)

The One Where I’m a Bossy Bitch

I was the bossy kid in school — always organized and in charge. While the 'bossy' label used to drag me down, I now see it for what it is: I'm tenacious and passionate, strong-willed and fiery, decisive and smart.

The One Where I Solve Problems on Repeat

I've always had a talent for seeing a problem and working backward from it to create an A to Z plan. You give me a situation and I'll road map the shit out of it, coming up with the quickest route, plan B's, and everything in between – you get to be the passenger princess, and kick your feet up, while I figure out the rest.

The One Where I Have an Eye for Design

From transforming school PowerPoint slides into aesthetic masterpieces to volunteering to reformat every SINGLE university group project, I've always thrived on making things both functional and pretty. When we work together, you get a beautiful end product that you’re giddy about, and the confidence in knowing it’s backed by research and thoughtful strategy, so it serves you for the long run.

The One Where I Say What I Mean, And Mean What I Say

I used to believe that a strong voice meant being the loudest. But here's a secret: it doesn't. A strong voice is about listening to others, responding thoughtfully, and being honest with what you say. We all have something important to say, and I want to help you share your voice.

Around Here We….

01. Work to live, not the other way around.

02. Prioritize health first, every time, all the time.

An open book lying on a white surface with a pair of glasses resting on it. Shadows of leaves are cast over the scene.
A pair of green high-heeled shoes with pointed toes placed on a beige fabric surface, with a black and white magazine or book nearby.

03. Swear when we’re excited, and cry when we’re mad.

04. Run with the crazy notions, because they lead to the best places.

A woman with red hair, wearing glasses, a black sleeveless top, and blue jeans, stands in front of a wall with assorted photos and samples. She holds a magazine or catalog and looks at the wall, which has images of furniture, plants, shoes, and other objects.

06. Strive to leave this place a smidge better than we found it.

05.Lift others up, especially women, who are brave enough to follow their dreams.

Get To Know Me

I either consume a book in a day or two or go weeks (sometimes) months without reading.

01.

I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a major in business legal studies, and actually thought I wanted to be a lawyer before I started this business.

02.

My only Starbucks order is Passion Tea Lemonade — no caffeine for me!

03.

I’m a sitcom-on-repeat kinda gal. Gilmore Girls was my gateway show, but Friends and the Big Bang Theory are firm favourites too.

04.

I’m Irish! I moved to Canada and am now a proud citizen, with a larger-than-life Canadian family through my boyfriend and his crew.

05.

You’ll often find me cozied up at my desk past “working hours” because I’m a night owl. It runs in the family.

06.

Home interiors are my guilty pleasure. Design books, HomeSense trips, HGTV shows...they even inspire my brand designs.
